Make up a setlist for another McCartney tour

Postby DylansMrJones » Sun Nov 17, 2002 4:24 am

If Paul tours again next year, what might be a cool set list? Pick about 30 songs and 3 encores. Of course he might have new songs next year, but don't bother with that detail.

My setlist (at this moment)

01 Venus And Mars/Rock Show >
02 Helter Skelter
03 The Song We Were Singing
04 The Night Before
05 Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
06 Maxwell's Silver Hammer
07 You Won't See Me
08 Maybe I'm Amazed
09 Oh ! Darling
10 Too Many People
11 She's Given Up Talking
12 Mrs Vandebilt
13 We Can Work It Out
14 A Taste Of Honey
15 I'll Follow The Sun
16 Heart Of The Country
17 Two Of Us
18 Your Loving Flame
19 Magical Mystery Tour
20 Live And Let Die
21 Hey Jude
22 The Hippy Hippy Shake
23 I Saw Her Standing There
24 Can't Buy Me Love
25 All My Loving
26 Keep Coming Back To Love
27 Tell Me What You See
28 Yesterday
29 Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
30 Band On The Run

encores
31 Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five
32 Let It Be
33 Junior's Farm

May be a bit long, but what do ya'll think?

DMJ: There are many stabs at the same subject in the Macca Tours section. You may have to page back a few pages, but it's been done alot.

He won't launch a brand new tour next year with brand new songs. He has to have time to get back in the studio and record another album. Except for his continuance of his world tour next year, he won't launch a new tour or release a new album AT LEAST for a couple more years. But great set list. And no, it's not too long. This current tour is 36 songs.

I seriously doubt there will be another Paul tour in the US anytime next year. Paul and Heather will probably be fixin up their new house at Brighton and Paul may want to move his studio over there. He may also wanna do another album, book, paint, etc...
I also think your list is unrealistic- you've got lots of "screamers" on yer list and I doubt that Paul could manage doing a tour with them.
He is 60 fer cryin out loud.

There's no way there will be a new tour or album next year. If so, it would be a first. The only touring Paul will do next year is in the first half of the year, as he finishes up his legs of the world tour.

Megs, I HIGHLY doubt it. Sure, Paul is writing new material, but then again, he is ALWAYS writing. Paul releases a new original album exactly every 4 years. A pattern he hasn't broken in like 2 decades. Plus, with a whole year's worth of touring, I'm sure he's gonna want to get some much needed rest before he seriously tackles another studio project. And DEFINITELY a while before another tour.

I will only hope for the "When I'm 64 Tour"
That would be so cool....[:)]
As Ram says, Paul does a new album "exactly every 4 years".
then a "When I'm 64 Tour" is a possibility...
Hey, Geoff- are you out there?
I don't suppose you could maybe ask the Boss and get word to us here, could you??? shhhh, we'll keep it dead secret...[;)]
