Just got back in from a night on the piss in town and put D.R. on. I just had an urge to listen to Loving Flame. WooooooW what a fantastic song I reckon its one of the best ballads he's done in a long time. I'd put it up there with Maybe I'm amazed and My love as far as classic macca love songs go, and the guitar solo in the mid section fantastic. does anyone agree?????.

I totally agree, SIngle. Awesome love song. He wrote it in 1999 for Heather in NYC on a baby grand at the hotel he was staying at. He debuted the song on the Parkinson show in Dec 1999. Dave Gilmour played the solo during the performance on that show. Paul then recorded it in June of 1991, a full 2-3 months after the other tracks had been recorded for Driving Rain. Great classic macca song.

Just in case you we're wondering...Merrydowns is a hard apple cider....great tasting stuff...but it will kick you in the head pretty fast if you're not careful. Glad you like the song...it wouldn't be any fun if we all liked the same thing, would it.[:I]
