AT THE MERCY

This song had a few baggers when they first heard it, but this song has so many layers - I think it could be one of the best songs on Chaos - I have this song on repeat right now, I love it, it's growing on me perhaps even more than the likes of Fine Line and Jenny Wren etc. Those songs have instant appeal - but when you hear At The Mercy for the 8th time, you are hearing genius - the arrangement is absolutely stunning - Nigel Godrich is George Martin's heir, I don't care what everybody else thinks, At The Mercy is spectacular.
