Back from England!

Hey hey, I'm back from my trip to England, and I managed to make every day a Beatle day. I went on a rock n roll tour that was amazing, and saw such Beatles sites as MPL, Trident Studios, the Bag O Nails, Savile Row, and a lot more. On a trip out to St John's Wood, I saw Tony Bennett being filmed outside Abbey Road Studios, walked the crosswalk, and I swear I saw Heather Mills driving a Mercedes on Cavendish Avenue. I bought enough cds that my Macca collection is almost complete, save for the period between Pipes, Broad Street, Press, and the live albums.

I also learned that my aunt was a massive Beatles fan as a child, joined the fan club, and even saw the Beatles in Worcester before they were banned (oooh). She naturally got all the fan club perks, christmas discs, etc...and then, to my horror, had to burn them all because she was moving into a new house and there was no room.

And boy, there were a lot of books. Blackbird Singing, I Saw Him Standing There, The Complete Beatles (Lewishon), and the Beatles Diary 1970-2001. I also got a little Hofner bass.

Just excited to have new things, that's all.

i live in london and apart from enjoying my lunch in soho square , outside pauls place, i havent visited anywhere else like that.. not even abbey rd. i know locals get really fed up stopping while people take photos on the crossing... but thats life... it will be the last zebra crossing in the uk that one, they just cannot change it. by the way, in Uk, you dont have to stop for someome crossing at a zebra, in france, they have the same markings, but lights. my french gf said they need lights, otherwise, no one would ever stop. i never have to wait longer than a few moments for someone to stop and let me cross. if its inclement, its virtually straight away... they slow down and flash lights to say ok, i see you. i always give a thumbs up when i cross, and dont dawdle. we dont need lights.

Hehehe, you know what you could be starting here, numberwriter - this could turn into the "rubbishing the French" show. But I will not be a party to that if it happens!

hey.. no way! i love my (ex) french gf and apart from the fact they spend all night hanging around b4 getting to the pub and then find out its shut, i have no problem!!!!! lol... thats europeans for you... live here years and STILL think time will wait for them when it comes to closing time. the amount of times i have had to sell my own friends beer at midnight.... lol.
