COmparing Paul McCartney into Gilbert O'Sullivan. Don't you have any shame, dog?
Actually, i think Billy Joel in his early days when he had a tenor voice sounded like Paul McCartney.
Fact is Paul has a unique voice - but Gilbert O'Sullivan sadly died of a self-imposed hunger strike when he protested against the IRA recklessly killing and bombing English subjects. O'Sullivan wanted to be a martyr for the PEace movement. Sadly, when he died, nobody remembered who he was and outside of Cullybackey in County Antrim - cause he never had another hit. nobody knows the sad story of the "Alone Again" naturally singer with a heart determined to end Irish terror and massacre.
Of course Paul has a unique voice fella, COMPARING is not the therm,
I asked which voice ALMOST sounds LIKE Macca, and I still think that O´Sullivan singing "Alone Again" reminds slightly Paul´s singing.
And just try to hear "Sub Rosa Subway" of canadian Beatle-cover band KLAATU, and you´ll see that´s sounds almost like Paul. But, surely we can´t equalize no one with our Macca.
And thanks for the O´Sullivan´s info... I didn´t know about him for a long time.
Peace.
