New Set List for possible 2nd Leg

Postby JuniorsFarm » Sun May 19, 2002 6:27 pm

If there is a second leg of the Driving USA tour, what does everyone think of these minor changes to the set? The stars indicate changes. I think it still flows well and is very realistic.

1. Hello, Goodbye
2. Jet
3. All My Loving
4. Getting Better
5. Junior's Farm*
6. Let Me Roll It
7. Lonely Road
8. Your Loving Flame
9. Get Back*

10. Blackbird
11. Every Night
12. For No One *
13. Mother Nature's Son
14. Calico Skies*
15. You Never Give Me Your Money / Carry That Weight
16. No More Lonely Nights*
17. Here Today
18. Something
19. Eleanor Rigby
20. Here, There and Everywhere

21. Band on the Run
22. Back in the USSR
23. Maybe I'm Amazed
24. Flaming Pie*
25. My Love
26. Day Tripper*
27. Freedom
28. Live and Let Die
29. Let It Be
30. Hey Jude

31. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da*
32. Lady Madonna
33. I Saw Her Standing There

34. Yesterday

Not bad, but I don't think Paul would do Day Tripper, I would love it but isn't it a Lennon song? I love Juniors Farm but I would put it as an encore number!! I would add The Mess and Girlschool!!

I'd love to see some more of his solo work.

- Daytime Nightime Suffering
- Listen To What The Man Said
- Silly Love Songs
- Once Upon A Long Ago (without that silly last verse)
- Bluebird
- Somedays

And he can throw Let Me Roll It and Freedom out. The only two songs I don't like.

I believe 'Day Tripper' is really more of a John song. As I said in your other post, your changes are good, but I highly doubt Paul will change anything. He's pretty rigid when it comes to his setlists. They usually remain the same. But it would be cool if he changed it up a bit. But like myself and others have said endlessly throughout the tour, once you see Paul, you won't care about changes to the setlist. Believe me, the show is so amazing that you'll be completely satisfied.

Yes, if there were one song I could ask Macca personally to play, it would be Raindrops. My favorite song on DR.

I hear ya, brother. Whenever I crank Rinse the Raindrops, I feel like spazzin' out. (Which is a concern for public safety because I usually play DR while I'm driving.) That maniacal scream of Paul's towards the end of the song, still gives me goosebumps. Macca had clearer screams in his younger days, but the one on Raindrops is definitely the most primal, gut-wrenching one he's ever let out on record. I love it.

Like the scream that came from the Capitals locker room, when Jaromir Jagr's fellow teammates were "teaching him a lesson" for wasting the teams' precious millions this past season by spending a large part of it off and on the disabled list. But, I digress.
