Love that song so much. The greatest Beatle solo single. One of the greatest US number ones ever. Sums up the solo Beatles for me. Gorgeous.

I thought Ringo did "Photograph" extremely well. And, it does kind of sum up their careers at this point, doesn't it (not to mention, Ringo plugging his book o' photographs! Peace and love, peace and love, peace and love!)?

Mr. H., I think Paul did win some other award (besides the "Cut Me Some Slack" one) having to do with boxed sets, or packaging, or liner notes, or the Wings Fun Club, or some obscure prize. But, yes, you're right. I read that this morning somewhere.

Let's not forget, George co-wrote (probably most of) "Photograph," and basically dueted with him on the record. We miss you, oh Cranky One...(I say this with love and respect, btw).

While I did enjoy the Paul and RINGO performance I couldn't help to wonder ...why not a beatle song?Wasn't the whole point of having them there to celebrate the beatles first visit to America? But it was good nonetheless.I enjoyed it.

According to The Express: Before taking the stage Paul approached Yoko and held her hand. The famous pair were seen embracing and the gesture didn't seem forced.
Paul was nominated for four Grammys and won four, his biggest Grammy take ever.
Best Rock Song: "Cut Me Some Slack"
Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition re-issue: "Wings Over America"
Best Surround Sound Album: "Live Kisses"
Best Music for Film: "Live Kisses"

Also, I thought both Paul and Ringo were in fine form, vocally.

all things considered...shoulda been a Beatle song

I think Beatles songs will be coming...Paul and Ringo aren't done yet with this Beatles Invasion Extravaganza. I'm looking forward to what might be in store...
