I agree that award shows are dull .BUT if they have 2 remaining beatles performing on it ...I will watch .Dear sir mr atom....I asked because from jan 21 to jan 26th there were no posts thus I sensed a lack of interest. But I agree after the performances of the 2 fabs I am sure more posts will come. :salute

true, oh flexible one, after all the talk, there really wasn't more left but rank speculation until the big show...

'course...me 'n rankness kinda go together

now...'tis done !

so...waddaya thunk, mac-meisters ??

i found it interesting...but sorta lackluster...i found the lighting to be really off-putting and as much as i've grown to love QE...i think something far more ringo-centric would've made for a better, more special moment.

as it was...there really wasn't a 'reason' for ringo to be there...other than he was

...did dig yoko boppin' along w/the EYE !

oh...and i think Pink has really...really nice legs =P~

Poor old Abe, sitting in the dark light that!

Something more Beatley for the 50 years show, surely?

I am also guessing(hoping) that they are saving a Beatle's song for the 5o years special. Still, It was kinda cool to see Paul at the Piano while Ringo was behind the kit!

Queenie Eye doesn't seem to translate live quite as well as the recording, because the recording is so...well...FULL sounding. But, both Paul and Ringo sang quite well I thought-- esp Ringo!
(If Ringo can play drums on Paul's song, why didn't Paul play bass on Photograph? Just askin'...)

I'm sure there will be more Beatles-related stuff in the next round of Anniversary performances.

btw, that opening sequence with Beyonce' and Jay Z...for a moment, I thought I had accidentally put on some kind of soft porn awards show. What, exactly, did that have to do with music?

agreed, matts...sure seems like an awful lot of weird dynamics...yoko & sean rockin' out to both paul and ringo...but...did they even show paul during 'photograph' ?

...and, you're quite right... why wasn't Sir P backing up his mate ?
they didn't ditch abe...so why not two bassists?

ringos bit was, i thought , very good, and i loved checking out the band...was that ray cooper on drums ? in a way it looked like...in a way not.

and, oh yeah...congrats to Sirvana on a award well earned

did i hear right...did the mac man win elsewhere ?

i missed most of the rest of this shin dig...dang...after miley and robin...there's nothin' i might've liked to see more than jay z and make more babies onstage...except, maybe...some nice Pink thighs...

i'm NOT obsessed...no

for what it's worth...i quite liked nearly all the 'singing' performances

Paul and Ringo were great, especially compared to the rest of the show. Seeing Ringo and Paul playing together on Queenie Eye was the highlight of the show.

Paul and Ringo together was great. Ringo performing "Photograph" seemed kind of pointless, but not complaining.

The highlight of the evening for me actually was seeing Chicago perform on stage, even if Robin Thicke did his damndest to sabotage the whole thing. Nice to see that band get a little respect after all these years.
