UK Fans, Radio play about The Beatles

Postby oobujoobu1971 » Sat Nov 16, 2013 1:29 pm

If you're in the UK you've got until 21st Nov to catch up with a new play on the BBC iPlayer. The premise is - What if The Beatles had failed the Parlophone audition with George Martin in 1962?

It's enjoyable enough, though there's some basic inaccuracies (isn't there always with anything Beatle related in the media?)

I listened to this the other day. (I think everyone around the world can listen to BBC radio replays).

It was a bit cheesy, but a bit cute and fun, too. I like the idea of George as a gardener.

It's written by Ray Connolly who (I'm pretty sure) knew them in the 60s. And he wrote the first big Lennon biography, too.
May sweet memories of friends from the past
