Another chance to see Paul

Postby Aujouret » Tue Jan 07, 2003 5:15 pm

I got my Adopt-A-Minefield newsletter (The Deminer) yesterday and I have been enjoying the articles and stories in it.
I was reading about the Gala held in LA last year, Sept. 18. Sephens Stills and Brian Wilson peformed. And Paul, too, of course. Paul did Michelle and Hey Jude. And dueted with Brian on God Only Knows and Let It Be. Must have been fantastic to see that.
There will be another gala this year, so I am going to try and be there.

Yes...that was in the news long ago about that show. I always wondered if the show was long enough for a DVD, ala the PETA concert. Wouldnt THAT be nice for you to see him again AND a DVD--maybe with some Auj shots??? LOL.

LOL
That would be a Horror DVD![:0]
Too scary.
Apparently the tix prices were $500 each. Same as I paid for ETS.
Ah well, nothing to lose by trying.
And to see Paul in a small venue of 1000 people.
Way cool[8D]

Wow, Auj, that DOES sound way, way cool!! I thought it was at least twice that amount of money. I think I'll start saving too. Oh, and we have to go shopping!! Isn't that a formal do?? [^]

So for $500 I get in the door? Does that mean I sit near the door or perhaps the kitchen and need binoculars to see the Maccas? lol

LOL. There were 900 people there last September.
I just hope it would be possible to get a ticket.
I wouldn't mind being next to the kitchen.
The menu is all veggie[:D]

Auj, Do you know for sure whether or not Paul is playing the benefit this year? I think I might opt to go to that show instead of Europe. Although my best friend is stationed in the Army in Germany, I might have to visit him later. I want as many Europeans to enjoy the show as possible. I tend to get a little obsessive-compulsive about these things. [;)]
I would like to see the Adopt-a-mine field show, however. It's a good cause and a good place to put your money. (Plus it doesn't knock out any seats for our European friends)

Another note regarding the European tour - I hope Paul plays Gothenburg. I've got some Swedish friends that I'm going to force to see the show!
