Kind of sad that the artists who have done so much are now totally ignored on the radio. Nothing new ever gets heard anymore and that's a shame. The general public is missing out on some good music.

true that, BF !!

even the newer artists who do really good stuff don't get much play like they did back in the old days when, it seemed, talent and competition may have radio ruled rather than megacorporations ...

Yeah, I've often wondered why Paul doesn't get radio play but other, what I call talentless singers/bands, do. It's a shame really. But it seems radio is for those who are young in age and not heart.

I don't know what I'm saying. I'm just babbling so I will stop now.

i think most of radio today exists of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations and their bottom line...not much else

but, if you look real hard...you can find things...
and there's always the 'net...it's doing a fairly good job of leveling the playing field

Rest my case, sugar pie honey bunch!

Think of your fel low man
(When you are wide a wake)
Lend him a helping hand
(say it for good-ness sake)
Put a lit-tle love in your heart
(Its go-ing to be a great day)

I admit I can see the resemblance when you compare the two songs together. That being said, this is hardly the "He's So Fine"/"My Sweet Lord" debacle. :-)

I have question: With all the songs out there from the 1940's on, and all these artists listening to them, how can they possibly come up with a hook, riff, lyric or whatever it is, that is new? I am NOT/NOT a musician so therefore I don't know too much about it. But I would think it would be hard for them to come up with some tune that is not similar to another.

Is there a musician out there that can enlighten me on this?

Thanks.
