A ciunterfeit is copy made to look likte the real thing Rolex watches, Lois Vutton bags, Beatles mono sets whatever. Quality might differ from extremely well made or very poor quality. A bootleg on the other hand could be a concert or outtakes that have been recirded or oeaked and then released by someone. Think the most famous bootleg is Dylan in Albert Hall recorded I think 1966 with the band. This concert was officially released some years ago in the Dylan ongoin bootleg series It was then discovered that this concert actually was recorded in Manchester.
So if you own some unreleased Macca concerts or outtakes unreleased song you own a bootleg

mhnso,

AH!! I believe all I have are bootlegs and it seems I am in a better place with them than with counterfeits. I did not know that, thanks.
