Paul is a person wellknown for doing most things himself. When he now is venturing into the somewhat unknown world of ballet I really think he should at least make some dance moves himself. For some reason I find ut utterly funny that Paul has written a score for a ballet don t know why I mean Elvis Costello has already done it - he didn t dance either.
Just heard a short sample for this balletmusic and it didnt t exactley sound like Helter Skelter. I atually been to ballet a couple of times since my beloved wife likes it a lot. Did I like it. Mmmmm it wasn t all that boring but if I had to choose between the ballet or a soccergame between Barcelona and Milan I would pick the later anyday. The thing that disapointed me most with the ballets I attended was that no one wore pink tights. It s up to Paul to restore that balance now but that probably won t happen since his lovely daughter Stella has created the costumes for the Oceanthing. After what I have seen of her designs there won t be any pink tights in this show.
So the moral of this is - if you like to see grown men wearing pink tights you have to go for the last bastion of masculinity - heavy rock like the wonderful D.A.D a group that actually isn t halfbad if youre into that sort of thing. Which I unfortunately aint
