Biggest Hit? Wonderful Chrismastime I don't think was his BIGGEST HIT. Good song but not his biggest or his last. What is or are? Beats me.

As far as I'm concerned Maybe I'm Amazed is his greatest ever song, and when you listen to it, it's just him showing us all his greatest talents-

The drumming - that's him
The bass - that's him
The guitar - that's him
The piano - that's him
Backing vocals - him again
Lead vocals - him again

Produced by - you guessed it.

It's the most "pure" McCartney song I think that's ever existed (yes I know there's plenty of others that feature just him), and he's singing about his favourite ever subject - Linda.

Can't be topped for me.

But Maybe I'm Amazed was recorded at Abbey Road before the Beatles broke up. I wonder if it would have been released as the B side to Cold Turkey, had the other's agreed to release it as a single.

There are many songs I like on almost every album, but for me the last song that had that instant classic feel to it would be This One. Although I would say that Fine Line is in the conversation. As far as chart success the last song to do well on the charts and is really good for me would be No More Lonely Nights and after that I'd say Ebony and Ivory.
