BBC Greatest Briton

Has anyone heard about this?
Apparently the BBC2 is doing a series to determine who is the Greatest Briton of all time.
John Lennon has made it in the top 10.
Along with the Queen, Nelson, Churchill, Princess Diana, etc...
Anyway, I don't know anyone else feels about this, but I feel odd about it. I mean, I don't think John will win the poll, anyway.
I think it should be The Beatles- together.
Not just John. It just stinks of martyrdom and putting John up on a pedestal- turning him into something legendary.
Yuk!
Mind you, I'm a huge Lennon fan, but I don't like this sort of thing at all.
The Beatles or nothing, I say!
This probably doesn't belong in the Macca Section, but I felt strange about the topic excluding Paul and the others.

Yeah, Auj. They did this list a little while back. Liam was saying that he was going to post the whole list for us or something. But he never got around to it.

I saw John's part last tuesday. I didn't have time to see all of it, but there wasn't anything really new. Just a biography, with lots of footage, nothing new. Nice to see though.

The Beatles or nothing, you're right! JL wouldn't have been such a phenomenon without Paul, George and Ringo!

I haven't seen the whole list either, maybe I could
dig around and see if I can find it. I would think it
must hurt Paul's feelings. I can't see that George or Ringo
would care one way or the other, really. They're probably past
all that sort of thing.
Why didn't they nominate The Beatles as a single entity?
Hey- they would stand a good chance of actually winning the
silly poll anyway.

I think that there can be only individuals on lists like this. And I would judge them as individuals. They have not been Beatles for 32 YEARS, for goodness sakes. Thta's almost like hear "fomer Beatle this and former-beatle that". I don't know who made up the list, but I could care less. I know who my fave brit is. And it is NOT Winston Churchill, LOL.

The list is dumb anyway.
Poor Winnie[:D]
I wonder if he'll win.
Cound be the Queen- she is apparently very loved
over there. I mean look at the turn out for the
Silver Jubilee.
Wonder what Liam's guess would be.
Are you there, Liam? Do you have a guess?

I'm happy John is in, but could've been happier if the Beatles were in.
