New Set List

Postby Aujouret » Sun Sep 22, 2002 2:26 am

I'm sure most of you have already read the new additions to the set list.
I am very pleased to see that Paul is performing Michelle, Let Em In and She's Leaving Home.
All are special favorites of mine.
I am also very happy that the preshow is staying as I love performance art.
I hear that there is a new program and new T-shirts.

Who sings the John counter harmony on "Leaving Home" Is it Abe ya think with the high voice?

Song replacements are good choices but i wish he kept C-Moon?

Why the hell did he put Let 'Em In on the list? Then again, I won't be hearing it, so maybe it doesn't matter. I just can't stand the song. Too repetitive.

Which songs did he drop? I didn't see C Moon (good choice, I guess) and Mother Nature's Son at first sight. Did I miss some others? Anyway, it's too bad MNS is out. It's my favourite Paul-alone-with-guitar song.

I would think he dropped MNS because it's tough to sing night after night - the range is pretty high. Let em in probably was chosen because it's a piano song, it was Wings best hit, and it bring him back to family (brother John, Auntie Jin) and has warm memoires for him.

I'd rather he chose Silly Love Songs just to hear him replicate the bass lines although he would have needed a fat horn section to do the song justice

I'm so glad he dropped Vanilla Sky - people used that as an excuse to go to the bathroom and use their cell phones...Now, they'll have to be attentive to the whole show! GOOD! [8D]

I don't get it. Who said he was doing "Another Girl" and "I'll follow the sun". Those songs are a little weak i think. Personally, those songs don't carry as much weight for me as these possibilities

All of these would have been fine additions to the show. As for Another Girl, it's nice but it isn't a song that would make me raise my hands up and make the Devil's horn sign like i was at an Ozzy concert. (I think there should be sort of a point in the show maybe during one of the rockers where Paul would either stage dive, raise his hand up with his index, pinky, and thumb figure up and chant Rock n ROll over and over again...)

Martha My Dear
Lovely Rita
Two of us
Rocky Racoon
Why don't we do it in the road
Heart of the country

Another excellent addition would be "With a little luck" - it was one of the Wings' big hits. I'd add something like Name and Address maybe as a tribute to Elvis' 25th anniversary. Name and address has one of the great Macca guitar solos and would be a nice choice with a medly of Good Rockin' tonight/ Crazy little thing called love.
