Will Young and Gareth Gates. You may have heard about a programme here back at the start of this year called "Pop Idol". That's how they got known. Sheer hype. There's a couple of similar programs on TV now, too. Not that I watch them, of course. But by christmas, Will and Gareth will have been forgotten about.

Oh ok. Yes, I am familiar with Will Young. We had the Americanized version (American Idol) just recently. Will Young performed on the final show. I have to say, I was not very impressed at all. Quite frankly, I didn't think he had a very strong voice.

Agreed. He just sounds all soppy - as they all do!

Young was the winner back in march or whenever - Gates came second, and he was also given a recording deal. It was supposed to be just the winner . . . but they smelled another pretty boy star in the making and gave him a contract and an overhyped "career". I'm still turning in my grave . . . [:0][V][:(!]

the concert was awesome! i had so much fun. it was so cool when he did live and let die. it was really fun. we went to where he drives in and we waited for ever. when he came he rolled down his window and waved to everybody and scrodfish had her shirt on that says i luv paul, and he looked at her and gave her a thumbs up. it was so cool.

steve, scrodfish was looking for you but she couldn't find you.

Ya, man it was unbelievable!!!!!!!!! We waited for him to pull up for about two hours. I couldn't believe it, the limo slowed to a crawl and he had his hand and head partially out the window. He was waving to everyone and then I pointed at my shirt and he looked me with a big smile and gave a thumbs up, he couldn't have been more than four feet away!!! The guys behind me said, "did you see him give you the thumbs up at your shirt?" Anyway That guy got a pic of him giving me the thumbs up and he is going to e-mail it to me. Great show as usual and the nieces had a great time and bought some t-shirts at the show.
They are insisting on wearing them to school on monday.

I looked for ya steve-o but there was a small crowd to contend with.[;)]
