Many people have complained that the tour was the same night after night. Even the ad-libs and comments after the songs. But, i have discovered that this is not true. Dispute this criticism, Paul did deviate and mix in a few ad-libs. I listened to all the tapes on the tour and discovered that if you listen to the talking before the song "something", he did deviate a bit each night and threw in some surprises.
After the tribute to Lennon and before the song "Something in Boston, Paul said "George was a fine Ukelee player..."
In Washinton D.C. he said "My friend George was a fine Ukelee player..
In New York he said "My good friend George was a fine Ukelee player..
In Tampa Florida he said "My good friend George was a Ukelee player"..
And then Abe Labourel Junior sneezed...
Paul: Bless you, Abraham...
Abe: My sinuses are killing me...(honking like Felix Unger)...Ah-hem...
Paul: Abe...they heard that sneeze on the Gaza Strip...
Abe: Is that a strip bar...Can we go after the show..
Abe then did a funny drum beat...
Paul: Ah..cha-cha.....cha...(doing Jimmy Durante)..Goodnight, Mrs. McCartney, wherever you are...
Abe: Why don't you toss another ring off a balcony...Paulie....
Paul looking up...
Paul: Is that a tent or a shirt...
Abe: (angry)....Your momma...
Paul: You're fired....(crowd roars with laughter)...And now we'd like to do....a song for George...Let's hear it for George..
