Considering the alarming decline of his voice recently, it is probably best he took some time off. Maybe he can rest up and get his voice in better shape. Sucks that he had to cancel, but I don't think anyone wants to go to the McCartney concert only to say he sounded lousy.

At this time the last thing he needs is a new world tour. Rest the voice, create some new music, and reissue the old.

He should do acoustic shows like mtv unplugged so he doesn't have to yell and belt out the lyrics. Bring back Hamish Stuart to help with the vocals. But he's not going to be able to sell out large arenas with acoustic shows. Maybe he could do a pay per view simulcast and then release to bluray later on.
