No recent show reviews?

Postby blmeanie » Thu Aug 07, 2014 7:26 am

Haven't seen anybody post comments or reviews on a recent show? How come? My rescheduled Atlanta show is in two months and I can't wait, hope to hear what people think.

A good review of the indoor Utah show (though, fortunately, "Helter Skelter" was dropped).
I went to the final event at Candlestick Park, San Francisco CA, before its demolition (the venue, not the city), making up for missing the final Beatles concert there 48 years ago. The stadium was sold out; Sir Paul can still pack them in. I don't know if it's the new wife or the 60's hair style, but Paul seemed rejuvenated. 3 hrs. without a break. His voice was much stronger than in recent years. Has he given up cigs? The audience welcomed solo Paul material equally with the Beatles' (though I would like to see more of the latter, e.g., "Picasso", "Riding to Vanity Fair".) Don't miss a chance to attend.

Should be "I would like to see more of the FORMER".

I'm pretty sure Paul quit smoking cigarettes in the mid eighties.

3 particulars:
1) He introduced his sound person, his light person, his local ticket handler, but not his bandmates! Did he forget, assume we knew them or could look them up?
2) He sang a song for Nancy (My Valentine) and for Linda (Maybe I'm Amazed), but not Heather.
3) The audience waved lights (mostly smartphone flashlights) for 3 songs: Hey Jude, Yesterday and (most popular) Let it Be.

Thanks, guess he didn't play "Look At Her" off New. That would be my choice for Heather.

I have not been to any but at Candlestick Park, he brought the house down. But a lot never made it to the concert because of traffic. Now they are trying to get their money back and I don't know how that is going. It was chilly and windy.

He sang "Long Tall Sally" and showed videos of The Beatles singing it way back in 1966 at the same place. The stage is a little bigger and more technological than the one in 1966. Reports I read said (and I am paraphrasing here) what other 72 year old guy could make the girls scream and swoon.

They say he was at the top of his game. His voice in great shape. He was in great shape and then just last Saturday he and Nancy were in the Hamptons attending a show in support for the Apollo Theatre.

Does that man ever rest? Personally, I think he has ADHD. HAHAHAHA!!
