Bob Dylan live

Postby EddieV » Wed May 28, 2008 5:02 pm

Just got back from a concert with Bob Dylan. It was good, but not in class with Macca.

HE is so ignorant and doesn´t communicate with his audience. No eyecontact. His music is great but he lacks in his behavior towards his audience. And he only played 95 min.

Calling Dylan "ignorant" defies belief! Do you mean he was rude, impolite, insensitive, insulting? I think he has knowledge of good manners, but he chooses to be enigmatic and distant. But then I would say that 'cos I'm a real Bobcat!

Maybe not the right word. Distant might be the right word. i simply don´t understand why he does not communicate with his audience. I love his music, don´t get me wrong. He should open up, but I guess, it is too late!!

Yes, I know what you mean. I also wonder why he doesn't open up.

He's very distant in concert. The music is good but it doesn't have near the energy of Macca's concerts. If you want great rapport with the artist, Macca, Billy Joe, and the late Harry Chapin immediately come to mind.

I saw Dylan in '86 with Tom Pety and the Heartbreakers. Great show, but I agree he is very distant. I don't think he said more than 10 words to the audience all night.

I really tried to sing along with some of the songs, but it was impossible.

When you´re at a concert with Paul that is what you do!!
