christmass rockers

Postby A. » Tue Nov 20, 2007 6:32 am

hi all I'm preparing a radio show for christmas and looking for some songs. But rather than another collection of songs like "All I want for Christmas" etc. I would like to fill it with rockers - you know, rock'n roll christmas...
Could you give me a hand? I thought of "Merry Xmas" by Slade - now that rocks really hard. And "Step Into Christmas" - more moderate rocker by Elton... and that faboulous track by te darkness.

Would be grateful for your suggestions, thanks

There are tons of Christmas CD's done by rock groups...such as: The Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (don't laugh...this one is great !), etc. and a bunch more done by country artists like John Anderson, Dwight Yoakum, Sammy Kershaw, etc.

Happy Hunting !

p.s. I really love the Jethro Tull CD.

Talk about scraping the bottom of the Yuletide barrow: I hope you're well and truly joking.

there is a quirky sort of punk/ska/jazzy christmas cd by the squirrel nut zippers. usually by december 10th i am sick of the usual 8 or 10 christams songs...but this offers something different that you will never tire of.

give it a shot.

for a somewhat more traditional holiday cd...believe it or not...by harry connick jr.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.
