there was a wonderful thin lizzy record - with faboulus version of still in love with you which actually made this song a classic as opposed to the "nightlife" studio version which was just allright IMO.
I forgot the title though and can't find at the moment.

As already said The Who Live at Leeds would be high up there. As would Eric Clapton Unplugged and Nirvana Unplugged (come to think of it there's a few good unplugged albums - Dylan, Macca, Neil Young). I also like the Dylan Official Bootleg Collection Live ones (Live 1964, 1966 and 1975) as well as Before the Flood (with the Band of course) - but then maybe that's cos I'm a Dylan fan!

Also like Get Your Ya Yas Out by Rolling Stones, Live Wood by Paul Weller, Live at Max's Kansas City by Velvet Underground.

I must say I'm not a big fan of live albums, I prefer the studio versions but "Queen - Live Killers" is one of the few exceptions! 8)

Dylan/Live 1966

Postby jgkojak » Tue Sep 25, 2007 11:21 am

The recent Bootleg Series release Bob Dylan- Live 1966--

The electric portion (Disc Two) has got to be the greatest live recording made in the rock era-

This is the concert where a fan screams "Judas" just as Dylan and The Band are about to begin their electric set, and Dylan shouts to The Band "Play fu-in' loud!" at which point... they did.
