I've bought Chuck Berry and Little Richard best-of's in the last 6 months, and they're awesome! They should be revered on the same level as Elvis, but I think we all know why they're not....which is a very sad thing

There's a really good interview segment with Little Richard in the Hail Hail Rock and Roll film about this very matter. In typical Little Richard fashion, he gets his point across in a very affective way.

Speaking of the film, I do think it's a great thing that Keith Richards did everything he could to celebrate Chuck in this film. It says a lot about Keith Richards as well. The man has heart... 8)
And in the end...

He performed a couple of "new" songs when I saw him 4 years ago that he hasn't released on record yet. Supposedly he's been laying down tracks for years now. One of the new songs was about a computer and a hard drive - unfortunately along the lines of "My Ding-a-Ling." He still sounded great so I think he could still release a great record. I'm not sure what's holding him back...
And in the end...
