He's also done "Hard Day's Night" live before.
When I saw him here in Dallas several years ago he did a whole medley of heavy metal covers mixed in with other songs - "Purple Haze" by Hendrix, "Good Times, Bad Times" by Zeppelin, "Hard Day's Night," "Tush" by ZZ Top, "Suspicous Minds," "Don't Be Cruel" and "Highway to Hell."
I knew he had a heavy metal background, but I'm sure many folks in the audience were caught off guard by some of those covers after they were mixed in with songs like "Just the Way You Are" and "This is the Time." He also did a lot of Christmas Carols that night because it was in December - "The First Noel," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Silent Night," Greensleeves," and "Jingle Bells."
Really a great show. I've said it once, I'll say it again - he's a master showman.
And in the end...
