Somewhere Only We Know----so I guess we're entitled to our own personal guilty pleasures, lol. AM&J gets me a little bit though too, forgot about that one.
Gilbert O'Sullivan, now there's an old timer. Always thought that dude had freaky hair.
Alone Again was depressing indeed, but quite the McCartney-esque li'l melody, got really hooked on that one back in the day. He did get a bit of an ego with his success, I recall him making some rather critical remarks about Macca, who he'd be compared to occasionally.
He had a small string of gems. I picked up a then-new release of his 'bout 10 years ago on cassette called
Every Song Has It's Day. It had only a couple of decent moments.
As for Emmylou, PW, you reminded me of her cover of
Like Strangers, that one always made me widdy hott skip a beat---
