Johnny Cash is in - he was inducted way back in 1987 I think.
And in the end...

I thought of another group that should be in - The Faces. Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane, Kenny Jones. World's greatest bar band. Major influence on acts like the Black Crowes, the Georgia Satellites, and loads of other.
And in the end...

how about joe walsh? once upon a time he was considered america's greatest guitarist. his work with the james gang was short, but they were likened to cream. and his solo career had some classics too.

rush made some fairly memorable music...back in the day. permanent waves and 2112 were must haves.

zz top is in, right? deservedly so...
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

A review of who should be in the Hall of Fame - and is not - is listed on page 1 of this thread, on March 15th - (and posts by others) - it puts in perspective some of the injustice of the Hall!

i don't know if i've said this before...but, here goes my thoughts on this sort of thing (not that you asked, but when did that ever stop me !):

IF we assume that this IS a real rock and roll roadmap/history/museum...
than, clearly, one of the hallmarks of the R'nR ideal would be it's...
anarchisticness (?!?)...
THEREFORE, if its august, leading, reverent body would wish to be true to the soul of R'n R...then why even have a short list....each year, induct them all !!
commemorate ALL the greats that have enlightened us from the past, they should ALL get in...why have just 3, or 5 or so....
break the rules, live outside the box...

The Moody Blues and Jethro Tull aren't in and that is a bad joke...Skynyrd and Bob Seger FINALLY got in but The Moodies and Tull not being in is pathetic in my opinion.

The wife and I went to the Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland, Ohio and saw the John Lennon exhibit...Needless to say, it was spritual. The HOF is 6 floors and the Lennon stuff took up the top 4 floors...It being a pyramid...the floors get smaller as you go up but it was well worth the 15 1/2 hour drive from south Mississippi.

I'd recommend the RRHOF to everyone who loves music. 8)
