I just bought Silver Age.....wow is this album loud or what. The vocal hidden in the mix is very similar to Sugar. Just luuv the last track.....his best solo effort IMO. :salute

depeche mode - delta machine...been listening for a couple of days: far, so good...better than SOTU, even though i quite liked that one

there was this music festival in england recently. shown on tv on axstv. i believe it was held in hyde park. lionel richie and elvis costello were the headliners (seperately). but a new act impressed the bejeesus out of me. they were called vintage trouble. the singer was soulful. otis redding with the bravado of james brown. and the band had the grit of a punk band. it was retro...it felt like i'd heard it...but it was new. look these guys up. they'll blow your mind.

tame impala...quite liked !!

the rugburns...ditto !!

and....vintage trouble...loved it !!!

i had a meager $10 left on a Best Buy card...so i bought Big Country - fields of fire: the ultimate collection...two discs for under $10...remasterd quite nicely !!

I probably shouldn't mention a country artist on here but I will anyway. Most people have never heard of Steve Wariner. Great guitarist and has done some pretty fine music. If you have a secret passion or fleeting interest in that genre then check him out. I'm going to see him in September. Driving from Indy to Tn to catch his new CD premier concert.
