Software Upgrade of site

Postby Mike » Fri Jul 27, 2007 2:19 pm

As you can see I have updated the oBLOGdi forums with the latest and greatest. Lots of features for the user and a bit easier for moderating and Administrating. I have temporarily enable signatures but will probably disable them due to the excess bandwidth usage. I may also be experimenting with board themes so you may come in and see a totally different style, don't panic, but I'd like comments.

Because the login/authentication is used throughout this website, certain features need to be updated. There will be several areas and pages on this site that will take some days to tend to. One of course is the Request Song selection for MACCA Radio. Please be patient, I will get at it next week.

Looks nice....good work!
I only hope that if you fire up the forum from the main left menu, that it does not open in a frame because the scroll bars sometimes drive me crazy... :(

I was just getting used to the old one. This seems easy enough as well. Thanks for this cool site.

yes, I know what you mean, thought it would be nice to have the navigation on the left but it does get clumsy. I've taken out the navigation and put the forums on their own page as normal.

I love the "new look" of the site and find it much more user friendly than the former version. Lately, for some reason, I could never manage to see an author and their message on the screen at the same time, having to continuously shift left and right to see both, and this problem has now disappeared. I also like having more emoticons to choose from without having to open another selection and all the shades of font colours to choose from and of course the "upload attachment" feature. From what I have been able to see so far, an excellent job. Thanks so much, Mike :)
It's the start of a journey
To a much better place
And this wasn't bad
So a much better place
Would have to be special...

Yeah, looks great! But I assume the Home page is one of those areas to come along, as the 10 most recent posts do not appear in the "box."

The only way to access posts is through the forum section. I assume it's like this for everyone, for now? :?:

I'm just glad I don't have to repeatedly log in every time I access these boards anymore. :cheers
