Because of the extensive storm damage taking out trees and hydro wires, our city declared state of emegency this past weekend and though we were out of power for a period we got it back but due to repairs today, it had to be disconnected. It will be for perhaps a few days they can't tell us a day.
This power outage will affect MACCA Radio transmissions. MACCA Radio will remain off-the-air until power is restored in our area. It could be a couple or a few days. I just don't know.
Apologize for this inconvenience.

I don't know if I will be able to cope with the withdrawal symptoms - I had been looking forward to "2 for Tuesday" all day
Anyhow, good luck for the repair jobs

It's the start of a journey
To a much better place
And this wasn't bad
So a much better place
Would have to be special...

Thank you for your comments. To my surprise hydro workers showed up on the seen at about 8:30am and said they will be reconnecting power. This is great news for MACCA Radio fans as it means I should have The Voice of The Beatles back up and running in a few hours.
I had to take the MACCA Radio server off the generator as I have no battery backup for it and I didn't want to risk damaging the computer. The generator I have at hand powered some household items the fridge and computers with battery backup & surge protection devices.
Donation thus far in October are $55 and are very low to what operating costs are let alone enough budget to buy some extra things like backup. Those reading this please consider a contribution. The costs are there every month and I do thank the few that regularly do their part to support MACCA Radio. Thank you.
