If your already logged into MACCAforums then all you have to do is click the CHAT link along the top.

If you have java it will log you into the chat room with your MACCAforums nickname, it may take a minute the 1st time as it will download a bit of java.

If this doesn't happen then you may not have the java plugin for your browser installed, see the links at the bottom of the chat page.

This link will test your browser and if it tests ok, you'll see a dancing logo, it will tell you what to do. This should help you.

Ah, a bug. But as good as I am, I found the bug and the reason you get the error is because of 2 things really. Your MACCAforums login begins with a number, and then the spaces. This isn't good so I'm writing some code to warn people and if your login name begins with a number it will take you to a login page that will tell you so and allow you to input any nickname.

In the meantime go to this link to log into chat so it won't use your MACCAforums login.

If you can test it out and let me know if you get it via the regular forums, clicking CHAT along the top. This will attempt to log you in with your MACCAforums login as the chat nickname. It will replace any spaces with "-" and insert a "_" if it begins with a number or illegal character. I've tested a few but please let me know if you have any other problems.
