News info block in header of MACCA-Forums

Please notice the news info block in the top header of MACCA-Forums. When you have not logged in the news scrolls like it's being typed in.

Once you log in the news (which is now different) fades in/out. I thought this would less eye catching so not to bother you as much.

I'd like to hear some feedback, perhaps the typing scrolling is more preffered ?
