Missing Posts in MACCA-Video & MACCA-Albums UPDATE

It looks like somehow all but a few posts in MACCA-Videos got deleted. I had some server problems that I cleared up but could have led to this problem.

I haven't noticed any other missing posts. I do have a backup of the whole database that is a few weeks old. I could spend a few hours and pull out those posts I suppose.

Or I can leave it like it is and let new posters fill it up again.

That's too bad. There was some good stuff there. You could save that particular back-up and add them back sometime later, maybe?

I believe I found the issue that was causing the posts to be trimmed. Notice there are thousands missing from MACCA-Albums.

This should not happen any more. I do have a backup from late March so I will be attempting to recover all posts that were removed.

The diffuculty is that it will result in thousands of duplicate posts all over so I'm trying to figure a way to recover without adding duplicate posts. This will take some time.

As you can see I've recovered the lost data over the last 7 days so MACCA-Albums is all back.

I'm looking for a backup so I can recover the lost posts in MACCA-Video. stay tuned.

First time I've seen this thread. Yeah, it happened this morning in the "wee" hours to me, Mike. Around 2:00 this morning. (Shortly before your post.) Dingle's post in the movie thread somehow "dissapeared" after I posted a reply. I thought maybe I deleted it accidently until I noticed that a post of MINE had been deleted as well that I had just posted in the "Strike a Deal" thread. It was strange.

That was me up at 2am restoring the database. I completed restoring from April 13th and another restore from March 26th so got most of the missing posts back.

I may at a later time go back to late Februray but for the few posts that may still be missing I honestly feel it isn't worth it. I'll take a look in the weeks to come and see if it worth while to revist restoring old data.
