It's the only original album (released when they were still an active band- many since then haven't had photos- all the volumes of Anthology, both Past Masters), but remember there was a generous amount of "stuff" to make up for the artistic photo-free statement in the form of the infamous 4 individual photos, and the sprawling collage poster with all the lyrics on the back.
It's interesting how that bonus stuffery reflected what was going on in the group- how there were 4 individual photos, instead of 4 group photos, and...how the collage poster was a wild sprawl of many different shapes and sizes, etc. ...just like the vast & varied variety of songs on the album- not unlike the "Revolver" cover, in concept not execution, when I come to think of it.
