12 Bar Original

I was listening to "12 Bar Original" recorded in late 1965 from Anthology 2. I noticed that after I listened to it that it seems they were influenced by hearing "Green Onions" by Booker T. & The MG's which was recorded in 1962. Has anyone ever noticed the similarities in sound between this two instrumentals?
