Macca in August edition of German "Rolling Stone"

Postby Cologne girl » Sat Aug 14, 2004 8:29 pm

The August edition of the German version of "Rolling Stone" has 18 pages of Macca - a long interview made by a guy called Jon Wilde, on the Beatles but also post-Beatles years. Interesting read and - needless to say - lots of nice pix. On the very last page of the magazine, the editorial staff have chosen their Macca Wings and solo favourites (their Top 21  ):
1. Jet
2. Live and Let Die
3. Maybe I'm Amazed
4. Band on the Run
5. Backseat of My Car
6. Let Me Roll It
7. Junk
8. Coming Up
9. Every Night
10. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey
11. Another Day
12. Dear Friend
13. Young Boy
14. Deliver Your Children
15. Take It Away
16. Too Many People
17. One of These Days
18. Heart of the Country
19. My Brave Face
20. Let 'Em In
21. Temporary Secretary

Quite .. erm ... interesting, isn't it? Looks like "Flowers in the Dirt" was the last album he made. Really Strange... But the article is worth a read anyhow.

That's why I said "Flowers in the Dirt" was probably the last album they listened to - maybe it's even an old list from the 90s they just re-printed, who knows.

Oh, and there are more people liking at least "Back Seat of My Car" and "Heart of the Country", for example yours truly :) :)

Sorry, folks, I put my foot in it here - the "Young Boy" proves that they did listen to "Flaming Pie" at least - must be that I'm getting on and don't notice "young boys" anymore, going for middle-aged and upper-middle-aged boys instead
