Those of you who speak German or understand some of it might be interested to know that there is now a special issue of the magazine "musikexpress" entirely on the Beatles, "in co-operation with Mojo". Volume 1, on sale now, has all the info on the years 1965-1967 (from "Help" to "Magical Mystery Tour"). It's got contributions by quite famous authors, such as Barry Miles, Hunter Davies and Mark Lewisohn, a preface by Brian Wilson and a "postface" by Marianne Faithfull, plus loads and loads of nice pix. Plus there is a sort of calendar of the years 1965-1967 with info on what happened on a particular day (a bit like Mike's "Today in Beatle History"). Interesting read from what I've been able to see so far.
It's the start of a journey
To a much better place
And this wasn't bad
So a much better place
Would have to be special...
