From Macca-News:

McCartney jams out on 'Red Square' #1368
Aug 20, 2003 By Elysa Gardner, USA TODAY

That's how Paul McCartney welcomed the intimate group of band members, friends and network executives who gathered Monday evening at the Ross School for a sneak preview of Paul McCartney in Red Square. Premiering Sept. 18 on A&E, the concert/documentary traces the former Beatle's first trip to the former Soviet Union last spring

Sounds great. I haven't seen any dates for screening in the UK, hopefully it won't be far behind.

Yup, let's hope there'll be a DVD. I'm still hanging out for some footage from the Liverpool show...

Excellent special. Very moving. If anyone doesn't understand what freedom means after watching this program, they don't have a pulse. Well done!! Oh yeah....the music rocked also, lol. Nice to have seen Two of Us, Birthday, ive Just seen a face etc.....

Not even close. Just about 12-15 songs maybe? The run time was 2 hours, so with commercials, that's about 1.25 hours. They were not in order or anything like that. The side stories were very interesting and moving.

Steve,

You're right my friend about freedom. Something we here in the US often take for granted. I knew that the Beatles music had, more or less, been banned in the old Soviet Union. I was amazed to see how many folks loved em there! Well, maybe not so amazed! Music, after all, is the universal language! BTW, did anybody notice that Putin didn't seem to 'get' the concert?
