Macca & the harmonica

My point is: he doesnt play HARMONICA because John used to do it.
DOnt bother with sax, harp. Bulls**t. [:D] JOhn didnt play those instruments either.
I know at the beggining he traid to do it. But he gave up. Because JOHN PLAYED IT. There is a pic in the BBC disc booklet where you can see MAcca playing (or just holding?) an harmonica.

PS: He doesnt play bass on Yesterday, did u notice? [:D]

Well I've attempted the harmonica a fews times just for the purpose of recording my home music and it gets me a little light headed....ya know with all that constant breathing in and out....lol.

About Macca and the harmonica, I think he's simply not that interested in the instrument. Besides he plays enough instruments. Guitar,keys,bass,drums.

I think he does however play the sax. The LP "McCartney II" notes that Macca plays all the instruments on that LP. The studio version of "Coming Up" has sax arrangements in it.

'Kota. I don't know much about instruments, so pardon my ignorance here (not being sarcastic--just stating fact). I think it's some sort of "recorder" or synch on the studio version. But u r right..it is a Sax arrangement.

Remember the first instrument he attempted was a trumpet, when he was a brat [:D](what am i saying? i need a muzzle). So, i guess he has a general idea of how a sax can be played.

Yeah, Grillo. His dad was a trumpet player. So I'm sure he learned a thing or two.

He stopped playing the trumpet because he couldn't play and sing at the same time. That's why he started playing the piano and the guitar, and that could also be a reason why he never bothered to play the harmonica.
