The 68 version is musically better than the 89-93-02 live versions, yes. But that's not really the point: it's the highlight of a Paul concert! To be singing the nanana chorus for 5 minutes with 10000 other fans... it brought tears to my eyes back in 93.

It's was one of the highlights for me in 1990 (since it was the first time he did it), but not in 93 or 02. There's so many better performances now on other songs it's unbelievable.

Right. I agree with Steve. Yeah, it's sentimental. But we've heard it already. In 89/90, 93, and now. And although Paul is still AMAZING on other songs, I think his performance of Jude gets a little worse every tour. Especially when it comes time for the huge scream before the "na na na" part. I always cringe, just HOPING he can get that scream out and on key. Like Steve said, when I heard the '68 version the other night, I was just blown away. No version since then even compares. I love ya Paul, but I think it's time to retire Hey Jude. Put Raindrops in it's place.

About You would be AWESOME. Man, he's GOTTA do that live. And if he played Too Many People, I think I'd just die. Actually, I wish Paul would stop "denying" RAM althogether. Think of all the possibilities. Songs like Heart of the Country or 3 Legs would be perfect for the solo set. Not to mention Smile Away which would bring the house down or the ultimate, Back Seat of my Car. Crap, I'm dreaming again too. Wake up, Rammie! Wake up! LOL

About Hey Jude´s chorus it makes me remind the Rio´s Maracanã Stadium crowd chorus in 1990... that was HISTORICAL!!! A big chorus with about more than 180000 voices singing Hey Jude, can you imagine it?? Macca really was very impressed and moved seeing and hearing that!!
