Very True, Ram. I do it all of the time. My last was Flaming Rain, or Driving Pie. [:D] I LOVE to do that. I know---geek boy here...[}:)]

No, no geek boy at all. I LOVE my cd burning capabilities, man. In fact, I just created a mix cd the other day. It's so much fun, isn't it?? You get to create your own little "fantasy" albums of your fave tunes.

I bought a dual burner last summer and it's great, since I have such a slow computer and I got tired of error messages all the time. This thing does them high speed and the quality is great---and, unlike a few years back, it was less than $300. I would be lost without it..that's why i want to get a turntable so I can convert some stuff---I've already done most of my old cassettes. Now THAT is geeky!! LOL

Nope, still not geeky. Either that, or we're BOTH geeks, man. LOL. I am REALLY into that kind of stuff, man. I'm also into converting old 8mm movies onto VHS. It was a TRIP seeing clips of my parents wedding in '66. And old clips of my brother. I actually bought a used silent 8mm camera a few years back from a thrift store. I gotta send away to Kodak for the film, and then they hafta send it to SWITZERLAND to get developed, but it's well worth it, man. Awesome stuff. I've only done it a couple times though. I'll do it more often when I get more money. Who's the geek boy now, man?? LOL

I did the same thing!! I did it in the 80's at our local library--they had a machine that would send the image thru some thingy and you could tape it. I also did slides that way. Really cool, and my dad loved the old stuff. I can't wait until the DVD burners come down in price in a few years so i can start on my home movies..that should take me into retirement LOL
