I wasn't really talking about learning to sing, but vocal training techniques to strengthen the vocal chords. We all know Paul has had the talent since his youth but tour after tour, his voice gets more raspy as the tour progresses. There was some real concern after the Wings Over the World tour in 75/76 that his voice would never recover.

His voice hasn't changed but his vocal chord's endurance surely has, absolutely no doubt about it. Again, just amazing.

I always thought London Town sounded abit subdued in places, and I remember thinking the same thing...has he damaged his vocal chords?

I really think it took him a few years to get over that. Plus, he doesnt smoke anymore, so that helped him out as well.

there were times during his shows in the late 80's and in '93 when i thought his epiglottis was going to spew forth from his mouth on band on the run, maybe i'm amazed and just wished that he would lose the songs on the second leg in one of those previously mentioned years when he appeared in the ny area in rather close proximity.
ten to twelve years removed from that, this guy just smokes and is clearly THE BEST AND MOST VERSATILE SINGER IN THE BUSINESS !
