I don't believe Ringo played at the Princes' Trust concert in '86...only '87 with George.
Back to "Broad Street" it was Ringo who didn't want to take part in any Beatle remakes for the film...notice he pretends to be looking for brushes during the Beatle tunes.
During an interview in '84 he indicated that "those songs (Beatle songs) were done already...no use in remaking them".

Actually, it would have been a good idea that Ringo would have sang some songs.
