Did Paul ever consider maybe giving Ringo a couple songs in the film? Beatles: "Octopus' Garden", solo: "Photograph".

Nope! I doubt it! This was Macca at his self indulgent best and Ringo was there for moral support only. Someone should have had a word in his ear!

AHA! Thats the way i always thought thought of Ringo. The only "mate" that showed up at the Dakota when John was killed to comfort Yoko, Sean & Jude, the one hed almost always join Paul and/or George on an album. He was even at BOTH Prince's Trust concerts (1986 with Paul & '87 with George. Whenever there was some kinda crisis with any 3 of his mates, he was there! GOD BLESS RINGO!

i think he was offered more opportunities to show his talents by song...and rejected the chance for fear it would ruin his otherwise stellar career.

Really, they did! The actual film was an unflinching bio-pic, with Macca playing himself. It revealed a great many insights into the man, and answered almost every question about what it's like to be Paul in an entirely humble way.

Two weeks before release, the film was unaccountably lost, forcing our boy to slap together a series of music videos and tie them together with the barest of storylines.

I remember the dream sequence in which he's trying to save his friend, but someone stabbed & killed him and he died right in front of his eyes looking solomn with tears streaming down his face, that part got to me because what real pain he was refering to which happened on a cold night in December 8, 1980 in New York.
