And yes, the Skin's offensive line sucks. Their defensive line sucks. Their QB's suck. Just about the whole team sucks right now. They have some decent cornerbacks in Fred Smoot and Champ Bailey, but the WHOLE team performed poorly on Monday night. But yes, Spurrier will whip them back into shape. He's always been a winner. He's not gonna stop now. And this, sir, will end my football discussions on the Ringo thread. To the NPC thread! SIR!

Oh. I see. That explains why I was confused. I don't like English football, let alone American football - which is more like rugby than anything else . . . so why do you call it football anyway?

Good question..it's origin and evolution is a long drawn out story. Let's just say that Walter Camp (Yale) changed most of the aspects of the game from elements of soccer and rugby in the late 1800's. Used to be you couldn't throw it, but you could kick with the "foot"--it evolved even more in the early 1900's. That is a GROSS simplification of the story, but good enough for here, i guess. The ball used to be more round than it is today. It evolved to the current shape to aid in actually throwing it. Look it up on the internet, Liam. [;)]
