BOSSES at Liverpool John Lennon Airport could be set to make dreams come true for another former Beatle.
Ringo Starr is to be invited to talks with airport chiefs after he admitted he would love to have "a baggage carousel" named after him.
During an appearance on the Jonathan Ross show, Ringo was asked if he is still in touch with Sir Paul McCartney.
He told Ross: "You know what, not long back I was in Liverpool John Lennon Airport and I gave Macca a ring.
"He answered and I said 'guess where I am' and he replied 'go on, where?'
"I told him I was stood in the JOHN LENNON Airport. We had a bit of a laugh because it's obviously quite something to have a whole airport named after him.
"And I told Macca that I would settle just for having a baggage carousel named after me or something."
After seeing Ringo's plea, bosses at JLA held an urgent meeting to see what they could do to make his dreams come true.
And now they are to invite Ringo to Merseyside to look at fitting ways to honour the former Fab Four drummer.
An airport spokesman told the Insider: "Of course we were extremely interested to see what Ringo said on the Jonathan Ross show.
"Everyone here has got tons of respect for Ringo and the other Beatles so we had a bit of a chat about the best way to proceed in light of what he said.
"Obviously we would be delighted to honour Ringo in some way but we would like it to be something more in keeping with the respect in which he is held than a baggage carousel."
A source close to Ringo admitted his comments were tongue in cheek before adding: "It was all said in a jovial manner and Jonathan Ross thought it was really funny.
"It was just Ringo's way of having a bit of fun at his own expense but I know he will be extremely honoured by the fact that the people at the airport would even consider naming something after him."
