Ringo - the most likable rock Starr

I think Ringo is the guy everybody has least a bit of affection for in the rock world. So many rock celebs have helped him/offered friendship one way or another on recordings, live concerts and stuff. He´s got to be the number one man in terms of getting affection and support from the rock/pop community.

Does anyone agree or disagree? Any takers ?

Ringo does a great interview, I almost prefer his input to the others on the Anthology. A couple of years ago when Century 21 was sponsoring his summer All-Starrs tour, he did 4 or 5 interviews and took on-line questions. He was so funny that I printed them all out, they are great to pull out and read every now and then.

While his creativity does not show up very often on his compositions, on his interviews he's consistently shown himself as a witty, funny and charming guy. Big kudos to him !

I found Ringo and George to be the best interviewees on Anthology. It proved to me they really were a band and not just Lennon and McCartney. Alot of the stuff they said was insightful and gave you an idea of how things were.

I also liked a lot what Ringo had to say and the way he said it. It looked like he had matured a lot and was really at peace with himself.

As for George, in the black suit he was too much, a real looker. What I didn't like so much about his input was that at times, he allowed the old resentments to creep up. It was rather subtle, but if you paid close attention you could notice, and it made me feel a bit unpleasant at times.
