RINGO SHOULD DO A SHOW ON HIS OWN

Postby Helter Skelter » Wed May 28, 2003 10:07 am

Why is Ringo doing all these all star tours?? I´d rather have him sing all the songs himself. I know his voice would perhaps not fix a two hour show but wuldn´t it be great to have Ringo as the "star" for a whole show..

Imagine him do a show like this:

1. It don´t come easy
2. I wanna be your man.
3. Missouri loves company
4. Photograph
5. Boys
6. What goes on
7. Weight of the world
8. No no song
9. Octopus´s garden
10. Never without you
11. Matchbox
12. La de da
13. Don´t pass me by
14. Yellow submarine
15. Goodnight
----------------------------
17. I´m the greatest
18. With a little help from my friends

I´d like to see this show...[:D]

I'm kind of tired of the All-Starr thing myself. He has some great musicians with him at times, but it does kind of cheapen his stature as a former Beatle. If he didn't tour with the All-Starr Band so often he could probably sell out theaters in America every 6 years or so.

I dont think Ritchie has the vocal strength, or the material to do a great 2 hour show all by his lonesome. Although the AS thing is old, it's his only way of getting out there, IMHO.

i think he could do it, but it would only be an hour or so. In fact, I wish he would. My brother won't take me 'cause he thinks there will be too much non-beatles filler. [:(]

well when you think about that the other "stars" will sing their songs also,, there will be about 5-6 beatle songs, a couple of Ringos solo tracks and the rest from the other musicians.. [:(!]

Agreed. Ringo is no genius, but it's fun to go to an AS show. And I got to see Gary Brooker do the legendary "Whiter Shade Of Pale".

The VH1 Storytellers set list was almost perfect. It's only about an hour, but he did Don't Pass Me By, Octopus's Garden, all the solo hits, etc. A one-off show like that would be cool to catch. Wish I had been there.

You know what Helter? That's not a bad set list you put together there. I'd pay to go see that show.

The only other one I'd add is Wrack My Brain. I think it would be a fun song to do in concert.

Ringo EVER liked to reunite special guests also in his albums, not that he just thinks unable himself, but he really LIKES joining great artists...that´s what I think.

Peace.
