I agree there are way too many Beatle/early 1970 lyrical references on his albums these days. It gets a bit boring and predictable after a while. The one at the end of English Garden doesn't seem to bother me so much. It kind of seems like an after-thought. The others seem so calculated.
I watched my video tape from Leno again recently. Never Without You really is a very good song, it was performed very well, everyone was bang-on vocally and instrumentally, in top form, I totally enjoyed it. YAY!
