Why do we always need to look at things through rose colored glasses?

As a Beatle, Ringo was an adequate drummer and many people even debate that. He wasn't in the top third as far as rock drummers go... I know I've heard better. His major contribution to the Beatles was his personality. What exactly do you feel he deserves more credit for?
